Every Friday night at 7 P.M. we hold our Bondage Breaker program. The program is specifially designed to learn about life management
principles. Practical principles on how to live our lives each day according to the word of God. It is important for each of
us to learn Godly principles that enable us to turn from sin and break the bondage that it has on our life.
The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 every single person has sinned.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.Basically, we are all sinners and have fallen short. Sin has seperated us from God and because we are all sinners we also deserve the result of sin which is hell. The good news is that God loved us so much that he made a way so that nobody would have to spend eternity in hell.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
Once saved, we become a new creature in Christ and that is what 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.Salvation is the first step to getting victory over sin in our life. We just read that we become a new creature and that is necessary if we desire to overcome the bondage that sin has. This, however, does not mean that we will never sin again. Christ, through salvation gives us a new, resurrected Spirit but we still battle with the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye wouldYou see, even those who are saved still sin and continue to struggle with sin. Is there a particular sin in your life that is keeping you distant from God? It could be an addiction or just something that you can't seem to get rid of. Nobody is perfect and we all will struggle with sin but as Christians, as new creatures, we should desire to walk closer to God and put away the sins that keep us in bondage. This is the reason for the Bondage Breaker program - living victoriously over sin. Jesus spoke in John 8:31 - 32:
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. The truth can set us free, Jesus can set us free. This amazing verse is telling us that we can overcome sin with Christ. We do not have to live in bondage to sin. Join us on Friday nights where we will explore the truths set for in scripture to help us turn from sin and walk closer with the Lord. We all have sin whether it is considered an "addiction" or not we believe that the principles taught from the Bible will be helpful for all so we invite you to come visit us on Friday nights for a great time of learning and fellowship.
